Banksia Hookeranas - Our banksia comes from Australia. These are dyed to meet your color coordination needs. Many times they are in short supply. Shipping cost are a large factor as we do not get a lot of product from Australia. Banksia is a member of the proteaceae family. Instead of the petal arrangement of a normal flower, it has bracts, which are actually modified leaves. Large bloom makes an excellent focal item in dried flower arrangements.

Unique in that female plants do not form seed cones,but rather a group of leaf-like structures each with seeds on the lower margins, and pollen cones on the males. Leaflet are articulated with a midrib.

Lasiantha Preserved - Common name in Austrailia is native orange. The genus Capparis is well known through the exotic species C. spinosa. The pickled buds of that species are know as "capers" which is widely used as a foods flavouring.
C. lasiantha is usually a small to medium shrub up to 9 feet tall. The leaves are dark green and oblong in shape. The nectar in the flowers is used to treat colds in some Aboriginal tribes.
